Bowling Green Township is committed to helping keep our residents safe. That is why the Township is partnering with the Scioto Valley Fire Department to provide reflective address signs for residences throughout the Township.
How to Request an Address Sign
Requesting a sign is simple. Use the link below to submit your request directly to the Scioto Valley Fire Department. Once your request is received, the Fire Department will coordinate delivery and installation.
Address Sign Availability
If you do not have an address sign, or if your current sign is missing, damaged, or difficult to see, you may request a new reflective address sign from the Scioto Valley Fire Department. When requested, Fire Department personnel will deliver the sign and assist with installation when feasible.
These signs are designed to be highly visible and reflective, helping emergency responders locate your home quickly during both day and night.
Why Address Signs Are So Important
According to the Scioto Valley Fire Department, one of the biggest challenges during an emergency is locating a residence quickly. While 911 systems provide an address, emergency crews rely on visible, reflective signage to confirm they are in the right place. Missing, damaged, or hard-to-see address numbers can cause delays that impact lives and property.
Proper address marking is the responsibility of the homeowner or resident, but Bowling Green Township and the Scioto Valley Fire Department are working together to make this as easy as possible for you.
As the Fire Department puts it plainly:
“We can’t help you if we can’t find you.”
Working Together to Keep Our Community Safe
By ensuring your address is clearly posted, you are helping emergency responders help you, your family, and your neighbors. Taking this small step can make a life-saving difference.
If you have questions about address signs or this partnership, please contact Bowling Green Township or the Scioto Valley Fire Department for additional information.
